When donating for children, currently in institutions you need to consider:
Is my donation adequate for the specific needs?

I want to donate

  • I saw a media report on children in a residential institution in Bulgaria. I want to help this particular institution but can’t find its address.

Although media coverage of children in institutions can be heart breaking we suggest that you consider carefully before making any donation. Donating directly to a residential institution for children is usually not the best way of supporting the children living there. We suggest that you check up the efficiency of your intended donation with our questions and identify your area of interest – e.g. Are you interested in helping children acquire skills and educational qualifications to support their longer-term integration in society? Do you wish to help children with disabilities through providing therapy? Then you can look for a public benefit organization, working in your area of interest or make a direct donation with specific requirement.
